Shows vessels broadcasting AIS only — many small and recreational craft (sailboats, small powerboats) carry no transponder, so they're undercounted.
Why this is empty: the live view depends on a free public feed of automatic identification system (AIS) broadcasts from
aisstream.io. That feed has stopped sending data to every site that uses it, so there are no positions to draw here until it comes back.
The "A day" and "Year" views are unaffected — they run on the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration archive, not the live feed.
